Ragwort flowers brighten my day, and sgnal to me to look for cinnabar caterpillars - who feed soley on this plant.
They also alert those who fear the death of their livestock as accidental ingestion can kill.
This beautiful plant is is often sprayed with weedkiller, pulled out and is slowly being eradicated as it can be dangerous to livestock. Yet it is an essential native wild plant for our ecosystem and for the cinnabar moth's survival.

Materials:
Cotton flannel offcuts
Naturally dyed cotton and linen
Preused velvet cushion cover with signs of its previous life.
Preused fleece batting
Cotton + linen back

Hand stitched and appliqued.
Hand quilted and bound.
Cotton loops on back for hanging.

Best displayed out of direct sunlight as fabric may fade.
